Don’t feel like a jerk, just keep on posting excellent stuff. Your post on Nahum really cleared up some thoughts I was having on the “why are people religious” front.
I’m re-reading a book which may be more useful when you get to the New Testament, but it’s certainly related to this blog’s content and really gets to the heart of how religions form. It’s called “Who Wrote the New Testament? The Making of the Christian Myth”, by Burton L. Mack. As I said, maybe for when you’re not slogging through the OT (I sympathise), but it’s a great read.
